The objective was to facilitate expansion across multiple sites, marking a significant step forward in our renewable energy initiatives.The Solution: Our approach was grounded in cutting-edge technology. We implemented Rockwell PlantPAx 5.0 software, complemented by the modern Rockwell CompactLogix P controller and a FactoryTalk View SE operator station. This robust combination of control hardware and software engineering provided the foundation for our advanced control system.The Results: The transformation was remarkable. We successfully replaced end-of-life PLC and HMI systems, integrated network switches into the plant network, and transitioned from physical chart recorders to automated data collection within the HMI. This streamlined our processes and set the stage for a remote historian framework, revolutionizing how we manage data.The Summary: EOSYS, a Rockwell Platinum Partner with over 30 years of expertise, took on the challenge of overhauling the control systems of a renewable energy company managing landfill gas-to-energy assets. The expansive project involved four remote sites and a central operational hub.
