EOSYS recently completed the integration for a new yogurt production facility! This particular batch control solution included enhanced ingredient material tracking and contamination prevention between organic, non-GMO and regular products. These successes were achieved through a combination of R&D engineering, system engineering, integration services, and EOSYS’s expertise in the dairy industry.
The overall system architecture was based on Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and the Wonderware ArchestrA Platform. Ethernet communications were used for all remote I/O, VFD, and motion control connectivity. Allen-Bradley GuardLogix safety controllers managed dozens of safety zones on the packaging floor.
This work demonstrates EOSYS’s ability to provide best practice design and implementation in batching, pasteurization (HTST), clean in place (CIP), and packaging controls to support the successful launch of a new product.
